CRP Photo Gallery - River Cleanup July 25, 2009
USIBWC CRP hosted a second river cleanup event on June 25, 2009 with other organizations, including Individual Owners of the Rio Grande (RiGo), Boy Scouts, and others. The cleanup was located at the Canutillo Bridge, on La Mesa Dr/Hwy 28 near Doniphan Dr in Canutillo, Texas. A total of 13 people participated, and we collected 12 bags of trash, 1 and a half tires, and several piles of treated wood. We also collected a lot of metal near the railroad track bridge that went over an arroyo that empties into the river. Thank you to everyone who coordinated and participated in the cleanup, especially considering that day was an Ozone Action day! Thanks for your dedication to promoting a litter-free Rio Grande.
